So what is the exact process to price match this with Staples, I read the previous reply but it doesn't make much sense. So you chat in, place the order after they have approved the pm, then once it ships get them to discount it further somehow?

I like it. I watched The Outfit, The 355, The Northman, Black Phone, and a few others. Peacock doesn't have 4k but the HD picture looked fine to me. Jurassic Dominion will be on Peacock on Sep 2.NightRider_ wrote: ↑ How's Peacock tv
Don't think so. Pluto TV is launching here soon and they want to compete for the ad $.EananC641158 wrote: ↑ Watch it be limited to US only, but maybe we can VPN perhaps

What's the whole deal with the storage issue? I use a USB-C extension hub and all the USB sticks I used so far works in them. There's a Facebook Group that lists a Google sheet list of compatible hubs (not all of them Works). I can post if there is interest.
I imagine at that price it doesn't come with the Netflix rebate? I paid 120$+tax for mine but came with an 86$ (after tax rebate) for Netflix last year (during launch).

AFAIK it's a straight downgrade, but it's also half the price of 4K max with this sale. I think I'll get one just so I can confidently compare them better.humblepotato wrote: ↑ Any appreciable difference going from a Firestick Max to one of these?
Amazon really ticked me off knocking out my customer launcher, leaving me stuck with their awful homepage.
I use the Disney+ button on the remote as my new home button with Wolf Launcher. Give it a week, you'll stop using home and D+ is easier to find without looking at the remote.

This drastic of a drop coupled with a massive update last week means a new one is coming imminently. If price matters, this is a good pickup if you have a cheap 4K tv with a poor OS or an older flagship which isn't seeing updated apps.
How do you get $28.98 with $10 off $50? Shouldnt it be $40?dracolnyte wrote: ↑ price match with staples then apply $10 off 50 coupon to get it down to 29.98

You'll need a USA credit card, USA PayPal, or a Canadian credit card that can be added to a USA Gmail.IshfaqueR4678 wrote: ↑ How to get it? Can you provide a bit more detailed set of instructions? Do I need VPN? Do I need to convert my account in Google Pay to US account?
Here's how to get the offer:
- set a VPN to USA and create a new USA Gmail;
- setup the new Chromecast using the USA Gmail or factory reset an existing Chromecast and then set up with USA Gmail;
- while the apps are installing on the Chromecast, go to a browser, set VPN to USA, go to the Play Store on the browser, sign in with USA Gmail, push the Peacock TV app and Keepsolid VPN to the Chromecast. Don't sign out of the Play Store on the browser or close the VPN because you'll need it later;
- when the Chromecast is ready to use, open Keepsolid, enable guest mode, set the server location to Movies & TV, and connect to the USA server;
- go to the "For You" tab on the Home Screen, the Peacock offer should appear, click on the offer, create a Peacock ID, sign in, go to the account, choose upgrade, and you will be directed to complete the signup at g.co/playcontinue on a browser to complete the sign up.
You can cancel the subscription right away and still have access until 6 months has passed.
Since I was already pushing the PeacockTV app to the Chromecast, I also pushed HBOMax, Paramount+, Hulu, AMC+, and PlutoTV.
EDIT: offer of 6 months free expires Jan 30, 2023.

Any free trial from HBOMax requires a USA credit card. As for Crave, I don't know if they offer a free trial.Ridinginoffice7 wrote: ↑ I know, but asking how to get a free account to watch if possible?
I know HBOMax has House of the Dragon in 4k Dolby Vision and Atmos but I'm not sure about Crave.
