Kind of true I owed one for 7 and and half years bought at Canadian Tire. Rusts and does not perform well. On certain especially cold ones it has a hard time reaching 400 C. The new one has a window that means that you can see how well it is cooking without lifting the cover and losing heat!!! Hope the windows stays clean. Take another $100 dollars off to make it worth the effort over a Weber which should last you double the time. Remember that you need to haul (over a hundred pounds), deliver, and assemble (lose a day of your life).

You’ve said you’ve had it for 7 and a half years and you’re complaining?

"does not perform well" What is so hard to understand?

Having it for 7.5 years sure seems like it performs well enough to last that long.

Performing and lasting are two different things. Just saying.
I would heed the advice of someone who has used this make of BBQ for a long period of time versus someone who has used once or one season.

Just because it burns gas, doesn't mean it works well. Crappy bbqs will have extreme hot and cold spots. You'll end up with some food that's overcooked while others are undercooked.

So final verdict is to pass and spend the extra cash on a Weber (for about $600 mark on sale , three burner) ?
