Unless you already have another seat that clicks on a stroller (travel system), this would only serve the purpose of going in and out of the house and not used for walks with a stroller. Keep that in mind "new parent"

The max weight on "rear facing only" seats (AKA infant bucket seats) is generally misleading. The seats have three limits, and when any one of those limits are met, the seat is outgrown. There is a weight limit, there is a height/length limit and an amount of space required above the child's head. For the 30-35 lbs seats, most kids outgrow by the height or space over their head before they reach the weight.
