It's nice that it's on sale, but I feel like this price isn't anything spectacular.

It will sometimes go on sale for as low as $8.50/$9.00.

Right there for 3 big bags after grabbing 2 big bags of Robin Hood at 9.77.....stumbled on to the Prairie Mills flour deal at another Wal-Mart.

Regardless, stock up.....retail prices at Sobeys and Superstore jumped $4 or more on the 10kg bags....so the days of 10 kg all purpose flour sub $10 on sale may be over....

As OP said, wheat prices are going up because Russia and Ukraine produces and exports a huge chunk of wheat.

The two countries account for almost 30 percent of global wheat exports, almost 20 percent of corn exports, and more than 80 percent of the world supply of sunflower oil. Those exports are stalled for different reasons—in Ukraine by Russia’s invasion, and in Russia by global sanctions—but the net effect is the same. It’s as if Iowa and Illinois, the heart of US grain production, were ripped off the map.

FreshCo in the GTA has it on sale for $9.99 for 10kg. => I bought one for reserve.

All wheat containing products are more expensive now, or they will be shortly.

Such is life.

Fortunately, wheat based foods are cheap enough that it's not the end of the world.
