[Walmart] Freedom to Fido stackable 34$ for 11 gig and IPhone 11 for 28$+tax+ 100$walmart GC

I was at Walmart today and was offered the following to come back to Fido. I ported our from Fido to freedom yesterday. I was on a contract with Fido on last month , so decided to pay the remaining balance of 32$ on the contract and moved to prepaid freedom yesterday. Today walked in Walmart and was offered 11 gig for 34$ stackable on my wife’s Fido account. 1000 min international min free for 24 months and 1 yr of Apple TV free. I had to buy a phone so took iPhone 11 for 28$+ tax and was given a 100$ Walmart Gc on spot. Hope this helps few out there.

The vendor was also ready to give a 300$ Gc if I took velvet LG but I opted for iPhone 11.

I'm with Freedom right now, will it work for me if I port to Fido?

I ported my freedom number to fido yesterday and I got $11 discount on any plan for 24months + if you get a phone they will give you a Walmart giftcard depending on the phone.
I got the $55 plan (-$11)+$20 for the S10 for 24 month = $64+tax per month (got $250 Walmart gift card). Hope that helps.

It was in store only and might be it was the last day but I guess you can try the mobile shop for a similar deal.

This was specifically for porting from freedom to Fido and stackable, ie there should be someone in your family with a fido account to get the extra 2 gig and 5$ off the plan to reach 34$+tax for 11 gig.

A contact at a Koodo store in Toronto told me that the Fido plan matches a similar plan which Koodo has on at the moment that is targeting people migrating from Freedom. This is available at his store not sure if you can get it at Walmart.

Correction: read the OP’s post too fast and thought it was referring to another Fido deal, Koodo was offering 9gb for $35 for 24 months not 11gb and only on second line, or 11gb for $45.

28$+tax/ month for 24 months. its the standard offer on fido website as well, and you read it right, no activation/setup fees. its a 2 yr contract with the device balance standing at 1135.65$

I went to the Walmart in Richmond, BC and asked if they had the deal. The guy there said that he would put the code in for me, but couldn't guarantee that Fido would honour the $11 port-in discount from Freedom since it was an East coast discount. In the end, I ended signing up since all the paperwork looks in order. I'll wait until I get the first bill to see if everything sticks.

Just to confirm, it's $50 for 9gb, minus $5 plus 2gb (as I signed on my wife's account as a second line), minus $11 port-in discount = $34/mo for 11gb.

Thanks OP!!
