This looks identical (minus the logo) to the bench that CanadianTire sells (usually on sale for ~60). I have one and it's flimsy, not very strong. I wouldn't recommend if you plan to use it more than once a week.

I think below Gold gym is a better option
https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/golds-gym- ... 0195933109

OOO now but they restock regularly, will go OOO again within a day or two
1. Buy cheap, buy twice
2. Don’t buy because it’s cheap. Buy it when needed or it brings convenience/happiness/better quality in life
3. Buy now think (regret/return) later
4. If the gut says don’t tell your lady, don’t!

I only noticed the weight capacity after I ordered. The bow flex 5.1 was also in stock at the time so I got that which has a 480lb capacity. But both are in the way .

That's good. I ordered the super stealth bench at fitness Depot. I want a really solid bench so I invested 399$

Is the Gold's gym XRS 20 the best value for the price? Bowflex one looks nice but it's a bit pricey for me.

I wouldn't get either to be honest.

With cheap benches they will often only have a capacity of around 300 lbs. Even then I wouldn't go over 250 as the stability can start to drop as you get closer to that max. It's hard to push yourself 100% when a bench is wobbling or doesn't feel structually sound.

In general I prefer standing exercises and there's so many things you can do with a decent set of adjustable dumbbells and also a barbell.

If you're on a budget focus on those things first. After you have a decent set then maybe you should look into investing in a bench.

But what I always say is that "any exercise is better than none" . So if a bench will motivate you to focus on your health then even a cheap one is better than nothing.

Edit: wow manual says the gozone bench has a 250 limit and Walmart site is wrong... What a terrible bench. Don't get it whatsoever.

If you guys are building home gyms, consider taking a look at the bells of steel FID bench for $350. https://www.bellsofsteel.com/product/fl ... ine-bench/

It's a rebadge of a common FID bench made out of China but it's sturdy and can support up to 1000 lbs. Unless I was a child or a 100 lb female, I wouldn't trust any of these cheap $100-150 benches to support me.

They just released preorders yesterday for stock that is suppose to arrive next weekend. Needless to say they sold out pretty fast. Not sure when next bunch will come.

I actually own a badgeless version of the FID bench that I got off of Kijiji a few months back. It was mislabeled as a REPs bench and it was missing pieces (I had the seller give me a price adjustment). I did a lot of research and ended up using Bells to order the missing pieces. When I was doing my research I found other companies selling this bench with their own badge mostly located state side but I can't recall the business names. Might be an option for anyone who needs one sooner.

That's true that's why I invested $399 for northern lights super stealth bench. Usually bench that weights 90-120lbs are good.

Yeah but that's mostly out of stock to order. You can order Northern lights benches from fitness Depot right now though

Not necessarily. I put in a order for a pull-up bar from fitness depot a week ago and got an email a couple days later saying that they'll contact me when it's in stock. They're just not updating their website to show stock status. Contemplating buying a different one from fitness avenue because fitness avenue actually shows what's instock and what's backordered.

Yeah they ignored my online order as well. What I did is I ordered through phone and went instore to pay for that bench.
