If this didn't bend and change thickness when you press meat on it (as mentioned in reviews), I'd definitely go hunt one down to replace my current slicer. That problem, for me, completely defeats the point of owning this, and I'd end up cutting by knife to get the thickness I want.

I own this and that was exactly my experience. The top has more flex, so I would end up with triangular cuts of meat. Thinner at the bottom and thick on top. I do not recommend anyone buy this.

One of those uni-taskers not worth compromising on. Home slicers ought to be adjustable and still cut evenly, and strong enough to cut solid cured meats or frozen meats. And those are qualities low end slicers just can't do most of the time.
