[Walmart] hard top gazebo $319 off = $778 + tax & shipping

This hard top 10 x 12 gazebo originally $1098 is on sale for $878 +tax. If you use promo code "OUTDOOR20" you get another $100 off.

So $778.

But then shipping was $100. Although when I put the order through along with a grocery order it was only $50 for shipping. So 🤷?

Anyways, a convoluted maybe deal to be had here.

Not sure. I've had a hometrends patio set for like 7 years and still holds up. But it's always a crapshoot, isn't it? Are there any costco gazebos under $1000? When I checked the cheapest was $1999.

Have one in my yard that was purchased a couple years ago. Some of the roof sections have faded at a different rate than others. So now every side has a couple of grey sections among the black ones.

I also wondered about snow load in the winter, but I find wind blows any meaningful buildup off of the gazebo. I haven't had to clear any off manually, and there's never really any quantity built up in my install location.

I have a can of black spray paint at all times to touch up any aging or rusting metal on patio heaters and such in my backyard. I'd hope I wouldn't need to use it on a new gazebo, but if yours is discolored and you don't like it, maybe spray away.

It's almost like the a seal coat of some form was insufficient on the once batch of panels. I'm pretty sure when it rains they all look black. Debating hitting it with a clear coat of some sort. Curious if spraying it with the same sealer I use for the driveway would do the trick.

Installed this over 3 years ago and absolutely no issues. Can’t say it’s any worse than the Costco gazebo - and it’s half the price.

I have this gazebo, and have the same color problem stated in previous posts. The company refunded me 500$ if I remember correctly, so the final price was under 500$. This was 2-3 years ago, I hope they fixed the problem since then.

Snow and wind has never be a problem, and it survives BIG winds last year.

Even with grey-black problem, we do like it a lot.

All that installation effort for 2 years?
What if I remove the fabric before the winter?
Thx

I made the mistake of buying a fabric gazebo. It will last 2-3 years with you removing the fabric for winter. If you don't remove the fabric for winter, it'll likely only last a single year.

My neighbour have had a similar design up for more than two decades.

Even withstood that crazy winter we had a few years ago that completely destroyed our own gazebo.

So even at $199, would you recommend returning it and buying a hard top product?

Unless you want to replace the fabric every year or two, I'd get a hard top.

I have the same one and got it last year for $888 and it's very well built, good quality. You may need to hire someone to install it or get 2 of your friends/family to help if you install it yourself.

Recommended product.
