It seems like Hoover no longer sell this product[line]...probably wise to stay away.

A large number of reviews stated charging / battery issues...and they don't sell battery replacement.

This is a Hoover that's reached end of life....

The nasty reviews on the site are because of the high price IMO. People wanted their money's worth. At 199$ I think it's a steal.

I wonder how this one compares to the Shark one that was on sale a couple of months ago?

I had this vacuum for a bit from Costco and ended up returning it. Here is my take:

Pros:
-Mapping was great, it got the whole floor and successfully avoided bumping into walls
-Price

Cons:
-The side brush design sucks. It's not "stiff" at the base ends like other robot vacuums so it would always get tangled onto itself after each run and bent out if shape.
-No replacement parts available due to EOL. So can't even replace the side brush
-Always got stuck when it got to a corner of a rug. It would suck up the corner into the brush and error. I know most roombas stop spinning the brush and back up if that happens
-nothing to specify a no go zone
-the app really sucks. Hard to get it set up because it's super buggy. However once you do set it up you probably won't have to open it again.
-app keeps track of the mapping, but it's useless because it gets reset every run and you can't specify zones to avoid. Only good for seeing where the vacuum has traveled on the latest run.
