[Walmart] LEGO Classic Creative Fun 11005 Building Kit (900 Piece) $29.86

Saw this on Walmart.ca

haven't seen this model normally, the normal 900 pieces are usually 10704 usually selling at around $40-$60 (https://www.amazon.ca/LEGO-Classic-Crea ... B06XDSN1MB)

but Lego.ca currently has this going for $49.99
https://shop.lego.com/en-CA/product/Creative-Fun-11005

This might not be the lowest price but it's getting pretty close.

Walmart offers free shipping at $50 or more or free in-store pickup

just different models they have. they have different "combinations" which allows you to create different figures. (I'm no Lego-master lol)

Seems like a pretty good deal as they say it includes 2 road plates which are not listed as part of the set. Also 3 cents a piece isnt too shabby for lego.

Christmas gifts for the kids.

I want to get some base plates for my son. Anyone the best place to get some? They seem expensive and must of these type of kits or kits for younger kids don't have them.

I am not a lego expert - I only know that Walmart has sets on sale for $25 every black friday it seems. This year was the first one that it got reduced to $20:

I'm sure $30 is still a great deal, especially for people who need it now. I assume for casual buyers they might just wait for Black Friday.

Thanks for posting - I might actually pick one up (can't wait until Black Friday).

A review on Walmart says it does not include road plates

If you look up 11005 it does not

Btw 10704 was the WM Black Friday and Xmas special at $25 and dropped to $20 afterwards at one point

Glad it is still this price, a lot of scalper cleared the shelves during the sale last year but are still trying to sell them for $40~$50 on kijiji now. Face With Tears Of Joy

They rarely go one sale. Your best bet is to get some when stores like toys r us have a “ spend $x dollars and get this gift free” or when stores like mastermind have their gift cards on sale. (I got some at 20% off recently). Sometimes the bay or indigo may have lots of their lego on sale for 20% off - that’s as good as it usually gets. Lego.com also has double points days sometimes which I think gets you 10% off.

if you are not against using third-party (LEGO purists frown upon them) then these are fine. I got them for my kids and other than the fact that it doesn't have "LEGO" stamped on the studs, we have no issues with them,

The problem with this set is that although 900 pieces may seem like alot, there really isn't that many larger bricks and so many little bitty pieces. It's quite limited on its own but okay for those just to get started on basic creations. IMO you really need 2 of these sets at least, it supplement it with extra wheels, windows and door pieces to really get going in terms of being creative and spend spending a worthwhile amount of time with them.

Dollar Tree in my area has base plates if you don’t mind that they’re not “real” LEGO.
