[Walmart] Men's Low Cut Hiking Boots - 15 CAD

Found these shoes on the walmart website. Probably not great quality but if your work colleagues like to go on pointless group hiking trips like mine do, may be a cheap option to come up with at the last moment. :-)

Stock left online for sizes 7,8,10 and 11.

Easily the worst shoe I've ever bought
I often buy cheap shoes for work, since they wear out fast, so I'm used to lifespans of a 3-6 months, but these are literally the first pair from Walmart that died in 3 weeks. These weren't even bought for work, just walking a few blocks to and from work everyday. Three of the shoelace loops just failed one after another.

I picked up similar ones in Walmart US for the same reason. Don't hike that often so when I do, why not in a pair of beaters? Haven't actually tried them out yet though.

In my experience with Walmart shoes like these, I would take one step and they would peel off my foot like a banana at every seam. Just not worth it.

I love saving money but typically shoes and beds are things you really shouldn't cheap out on.

these look tough enough to be used as work shoes where steel toes are not required as well.

Lol. I didn't go to the link. don't shop much at Walmart either.
But at least they lived to tell the tale.

If you are near a Columbia outlet store, they are clearing some of their winter boots for 50% off, YMMV. I picked up a pair this morning for $60, regular $120, the difference of $45 comparing with the ones at Walmart would be so worth it because I know mine will last 10 years.

They aren't horrible if you buy insoles for them. The soles are extremely thin and poor quality rubber. The treads wear/crumble away and the bottoms wear through in a couple months of daily use. However they seem to last much longer with insoles, both the treads and the soles, and with insoles you won't feel pain with every stone/bump you step on. Given what real shoes sell for I'd buy them again.

My sister bought a pair for my dad from the store. For the people wondering, they kinda look like this (although styling maybe slightly different). They probably use bad glue or soles but these dont look half bad for a day of wading in the mud. will let you guys know if the shoes survive.

Guess they would be fine if you don't plan on doing much of anything in them :P

I prefer spending a bigger chunk of money on something that will last, though, and be comfortable.
Can you spare some cutter, me brother?
