Does anybody have an experience with that? I found many reviews but they all very different.

Thanks OP, picked up to replace a Hisense HS214. Which was perfectly fine until I watched a TV show with deep deep bass as the sound track and just made the built in "sub" crack. Hoping this will do slightly better as I have a pair of 2.1 Dell speakers for my computer with a similar sized driver that seems to do the trick.

So far, I did some reading, and the only issue people are having is that no cables came in the box (really?), otherwise I will thoroughly test drive it.

There was 2 at my location (Grandview) and according to stock track it's gone now. But seems to be various stock around GVRD esp Surrey/Coquitlam.

Okay, so a quick preliminary test shows it's got pretty decent kick to the included wireless sub.

Tried with music, TV shows, and a movie.

Things on the "might bug people, but seriously for $100 why would it" list
- no way granular to control bass, other than it's got 3 "EQ" modes, which are music/movie/news (music/movie are about the same, and news is the least bassy)
- the main LED light doesn't go off, no control over the light (though it's less bright than my HS214)

Other than that, it looks suspiciously similar (remote wise) to the Hisense, and whilst I know Philips isn't exactly a house hold brand anymore- so it's rebadged I didn't think I could confuse the remotes.

Might pick one up to match with my Sharp 4K. I have the Samsung one matched to my KU7000 which works great. Hope this gives me a bit more volume...

Thanks...

Great info. It is definitely worth $98. The EQ settings aren't bad. I switch back and forth from Music to News as I live in a condo. Bass is nice when it kicks in. It gets pretty loud as well, not sure why people were complaining about that in the reviews!

Agreed for sure, I think the "loudness" that people complain about might be duds? Mine got plenty loud at full blast. I do wish there was dedicated buttons for the EQ, so you didn't have to memorize that [Green = Movies, White = Music, and Red = News] as well as cycle to find the one you want. I find it ironic they include all this regular paperwork, but couldn't be arsed to print a 1-2 page manual explaining the EQ. Luckily easily found here

Another point which shouldn't matter too much is that the BT ver is 4.2 - while I haven't tried it yet, I assume there will be a small amount of perceptible lag if using it as a giant BT speaker.

Again $98, no contest for have a wireless sub that actually is much more capable that the size would seem to indicate. Super happy with this one.

Ordered this, You're better off getting a refurbished or used one from visions electronics on sale with more power imo -- $150 -$200 gives you a soundbar that could easily have 3-4x the audio performance and quality.

- Sound is quite lacking, its 85% treble, and bass is extremely weak.
Unable to tweak bass or treble settings, EQ and display is a colored LED light that changes, no real major differences in eq.

But it does have Optical, aux, HDMI and bt input.

It sounds very flat, and tinny -- if you care about audio quality 100% avoid this.
Its def a $100 dollar soundbar, I give it a 4/10 for its job of making audio.

I would only recommend this if you use your tv for audio, this is def a upgrade over TV speakers.

No real diff in EQ? I'm starting to think 50% RMA/Defect rate is probably within the realm of possible. Just out of curiosity... is your sub paired/working?

Both myself and @sajan647 had good experiences. One can most definitely tell the difference between News and Movie for sure. If my wife can, I figure anyone can.

Sorry you got a dud man.

Picked one up tonight. Will set it up and report back. Anything has to be better than the speakers in the Sharp. Max output on those is 10W. I'm not worried about things like heavy bass as I don't generally listen to things with high emphasis on the low end of the audio spectrum. If i can get decent mid range and high(er) end, that's good enough for me. Just have to figure out where to put the sub. My Samsung sound bar didn't have one so I wouldn't really miss it if I don't set it up right away...

Imo for garage I'll get a set of bookshelf and a $30-40 class-D amp, more oomph.

Yea it paired pressing the button on the sub then turning and powering the main bar on.
Its just weak.

The EQ is a tiny tiny difference between one another with such a low end unit.

Better off getting something like this - https://www.visions.ca/product-detail/6 ... N4-OPENBOX

For a 2x price increase its a drastically better unit imo. But like I said this unit is better than tv speakers which is what I think the target market is.

Man, I am having a difficult time getting the video amd sound synced. I’m using an HDMI and using the setup feature on my LG tv to adjust it, but it”s frustrating. Funny how our brains can pick up on the smallest outofsyncedness.
