Man, you would need a lot of counter space just for your popcorn obsession...

Flavacol. Green box by gold metal. Worth it if you really like that theatre popcorn taste and dont want to microwave every time. Ideally get 2 friends to split it with. Theres a lot in an amazon package at 3/4tsp to cup kernels

Popflix eh? Does it sport IoT and automatically turn on your TV and queue up Netflix after popping? :D

I had a similar machine to this and it made excellent popcorn, but it was really hard to clean the plastic. I think this time I'm going to go with a machine with glass doors and surround. For the price though, I'd say this machine is worth the money.

Good for the look but questionable longevity.
1. Buy cheap, buy twice
2. Don’t buy because it’s cheap. Buy it when needed or it brings convenience/happiness/better quality in life
3. Buy now think (regret/return) later
4. If the gut says don’t tell your lady, don’t!

1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in medium size sauce pan to 355 fahrenheit or until a few kernels pop
2. add enough kernals for the oil
3. season with Flavacol or as fine ground salt you have to taste
4. maintain 355 fahrenheit or medium low heat
5. stir kernals and seasoning until they start to pop
6. cover with lid or whatever you feel like and continue shaking kernals. this is important so your kernals are evenly cooked before popping
7. enjoy

8. optional: melt as much butter/oil you want and lace throughout popcorn. (pot that’s still hot works for melting butter)
Wallet safe...

I have this. It’s good for parties and stuff especially for kids. It’s definitely not a frequently used item as it takes up a huge amount of space. It’s also very tricky to clean.

I suggest something like this, which I have. Easy to store and delivers crunchy/healthy popcorn. Add some salt and spices and you're good to go: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07M8H ... =pd_gw_unk

Place in the dishwasher after use.

For a dedicated theater room this thing would look awesome and I could live with the cleanup, but for quick popcorn without the cleanup I'll have to pass great deal or not.

I have one of these kettles… make very good popcorn. I prepare mine with coconout oil for a movie-like flavour.

Thanks op. Picked one up in St Leonard (Montreal). They also have a cuisnart one for $80 down from $129, can’t find the link online however seems to be the same as the Popflix one, I couldn’t see a diff.

For those worried about clean up... you do know that at movie theaters these things are used over and over and over again before they are cleaned? I know some theaters I doubt they even clean them one a a week! Adds to the flavor:):)

You can buy small quantities of flavacol at your local bulk barn.

I use so little (so salty), and it lasts forever.

Not sure what people do with entire cartons of the stuff heh
