[Walmart] Potatoes, $1.87 / 10lbs in Ontario

This is the best price I've seen for a 10lb bag of potatoes. Previously, $1.99 is the best price I've seen.

That said, reviews have complained about short shelf life. So be prepared to use it fast. Walmart also has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you find the product not fresh, just refund it. Also, don't ask me what is "all-purpose" potato.

Maybe only in the East? I don't see it in the flyer for AB

White potatoes are awful. Even red potatoes are superior.

"All-purpose" just means boiling, mashing, roasting, baking...which I mean you can do with all potatoes, some are just better than others lol.

And yeah at $0.187 per pound these aren't going to be the freshest...that even beats the $/lb of the 20 lb bags RCSS sells when they go on sale (cheapest I've ever seen is $5).

Cheapest I've seen recently is 0.94 10lb and 3.97 20lb at Superstore for russet and red, clearing old stock. Not advertised prices, varies from store to store day to day.

This Walmart price is not applicable for Western Canada so I won't be buying them.

No frills regularly offers 1.00 5lb.

I'm not calling for the mashing of white potatoes, that's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying that white potatoes aren't the supreme breed of potato that some white potato clans would have you believe.
