[Walmart] Purex 24 double rolls TP - SCOP mistake YMMV

Walmart in Langley BC has a display at the north entry
Purex 24 Double roll Toilet paper $9.47
this is like 48 regular rolls

The thing is it rang up at $15.97
so because of the Scanning Code of Practice, I got 10.00 (plus tax) back at Customer Service
with tax it end up costing me 6.68

Did they do this right or should it have been free?
I think the rule is $10 off, unless the item is under $10, then it is free
the charged price was over 10 and the correct price is under 10, so I dunno.

Wrong forum, but to answer your question it should have been free. I would go back and get them to fix it

Yup, free . I had a similar case, there was a price of $9.97 of the Robin Hood's 10kg floor on the shelf, but it rang up at $15.99, so because the tag price was below $10, got it for free :) !

If the tag or shelf price is $10 or less, it's free.

As others have said, I would ask them to correct the problem the next time you are in. It should've been free. Doesn't make sense to take $10 off the erroneous price.

What I really wanted to say though is.... don't bother calling Walmart Customer Service. They are useless. It's really a toss up between them and PC Optimum in terms of a time waster.

they have to adjust the price to sale price then either give it free if it under 10 or take 10 off if it over 10
