Yes. The license to make RCA tablets is currently held by Venturer according to the website.FrostyWinnipeg wrote: ↑Isn't RCA a company in name only now?

No. Curtis licensed the name Proscan (an RCA sub brand). You see their tablets at Superstore and Canadian Tire (with horrible reviews on the CT website)pessimism wrote: ↑Brand of Curtis International, purveyor of bottom end chinese-made electronics:

Looks like they did this just for the tablets. The following RCA products are still under Curtis:NG wrote: ↑No. Curtis licensed the name Proscan (an RCA sub brand). You see their tablets at Superstore and Canadian Tire (with horrible reviews on the CT website)
RCA is licensed to Venturer. At the bottom of the RCA tablet webpage it says: "© 2015 Venturer Electronics" -

Unlike Curtis Venturer has historically been decent for the price.

In either case they aren't the good old RCA Victor company anymore. The brand has quite the history according to Wikipedia:

I bought a cheap RCA 39" TV for the bedroom. I broke the remote accidentally (cheap POS) and when I googled the model number it turned out to be a curtis. I've got a curtis remote running that TV now.NG wrote: ↑No. Curtis licensed the name Proscan (an RCA sub brand). I got this and for $99+ , I am quite please with the purchase. Wi fi is a bit weak. Playing around with android apps is fun. Downloaded the mapping app called maps.me and unbelievably I could down load all the detailed maps of the world ( if only I have enough memory). however I am not sure if this unit have a GPS receiver and still trying to find this out. Otherwise a good 10 inch unit for surfing, music and video player. why would want to rent a tablet on the plane when I can take this alongfang99 wrote: ↑i just got mine and it floored me!! What do you expect for $100? It works well, good and solid, has every feature you can imagine, fast...and BTW, the screen looks fine. You can use the HDMI to an HD TV and get a bigger, sharper image. As soon as it booted up, it saw my wi-fi system. I'm buying a second, and getting rid of my desktops. This comes with aps up the ying yang, and is super easy to get more, being totally Android-based. I'm not a touch typist, so this keyboard is fine for me. It is tactile, and has a decent feel.
