[Walmart] Roku Streambar 9102CA $99.98

Best Buy has it for $189 so possible price match

Reviews have been good and a decent value with a speaker and Roku interface.

The posted review doesn't make it clear.... does the optical port work as optical "in" so that you can connect your TV's audio output to it for content that isn't playing through the Roku?

Interesting product if it does indeed operate as a standard sound bar on top of having an integrated streamer.

I don't quite understand how this is supposed to work. Seems crippled without an RJ45 network port and no HDMI passthrough?

I have two of these, including the add-on rear bluetooth speakers for my main living room. It's not top tier home theater by any means but I am very pleased with the add-on speakers and the streambar. very simple and works great. I dont use optical so I dont know about that, but I connect the HDMI to my arc hdmi connection on the TV and it passes the audio through when I play my PS4 or Nintendo Switch. I like that I can control volume all with one tiny roku remote, and even use the iphone app to control it as well. a couple times i've used the iphone app to send the audio to my phone, so I can play PS4 using my headphones when the wife is in the same room and needs quiet.

Thanks OP! This will make it nice and easy for me to turn on my Roku TV and sound bar with a single remote

Thanks OP this should be good for my projector. Even if decent sounding, it will make the streaming setup much cleaner and with a remote too.

With the right expectations this is a great compact sound bar. I have it setup to my bedroom tv (SonyX80J) via the eARC port to enhance the vocals and provide better bass and it does that job exceptionally well. The selling feature for me was the size but the reviews on the sound quality were great too. At $99 it's a great price.

If you looking for atmos or living room/ basement theatre room filling sound this is not it.

I have the Roku Express (also bought the Fire TV stick at that time). Roku Express used to cost ~$40-45 + tax by itself. For $99 you get a Roku 4K (the regular is $60 by itself, while Express 4K is $40) and a soundbar, so ya it's a great deal at $99.

So am I but Walmart site is known to glich (which will in turn wipeout results on Stocktrack too), when it's hit hard with many requests on the same thing--e.g. RFD effect.

Probably still stock, just give it a while or find in-store.

BTW this is the typical sale price. Usually Roku all dealers follow MAP so usually it becomes the same price everywhere, when it does go on sale. However this does look Walmart-specific because Roku's site is not showing any discount.

Unfortunately the Roku Streambar Pro is not available in Canada--larger, better soundbar. This one is really dinky and is basically just a small centre channel. You can connect it to the wireless rears though...which I think are also hard to find and/or pricey, in Canada  Also the Roku wireless sub...which again not sold in Canada LOL. Not sure what's up with Roku but they only offer select products on this side of the border. Pretty sure in US they've had promotions where you buy the Streambar/Streambar Pro and get the wireless speakers free and whatever.

Anyway not sure what's so confusing about this product, it's pretty straightforward.

I almost bought one of these from Amazon back around Boxing Day / New Years at the same price (99.xx). Seemed like a great way to add decent sound and a Roku to a TV with crap sound.

This is the perfect use case. I have a similar set up, except a TCL soundbar with integrated Fire TV 4K and it's been great.

I stayed at a hotel this weekend that had this. I had never seen it before, but the thing sounded pretty damn good to be completely honest.

This little guy has been great for backyard movie nights with a projector. Picked one up last summer for round $50 at a local Walmart that was closing.

I think backyard movie nights are the perfect use case for these.

Would this be better than a pair of Edifier bookshelf speakers?
