Stupid question, but would this be a solid option to use for a Nintendo Switch or would it be better to get Extreme?

Your best bet for Switch will be Samung Evo Plus

you'll be fine with this one, I use the same one and all my games are stored on the SD, no issues.

Is it slower to download games? Lag during playing? Or else?
Serious question.
Switch is not doing any intense writing so should be fine with Ultra. Read speeds are no problem on this card.

Edit: See post below, load times will decrease for some things with a faster card. Makes sense since the Switch branded Sandisks are Extreme not Ultra.

Ok people lets give accurate info here..the switch hardware can write and read at 60-90mb/s so there is a difference between this slower card and a faster one. Sequential reads/writes play a role but the real truth is that what really matters is the random 4k small read/write speed. These ultra cards are average/slightly below average rdm 4k speed(use cyrstaldiskmark to check)

So therefore as another rfd’r mentioned get a samsung evo plus or select. Not gonna be a major change but loading and save times will decrease. Nsp installs are a lot faster.

Is there any way to waive the $5 "other handling fee" other than ordering more items?
