Is this really a Hot Deal? 1080p? At this stage of the game I wouldn't suggest buying non 4K TVs, also Black Friday is coming very soon.

Not a deal. Especially for that size and 1080p.

I think what the OP meant by "a good option as a second tv or a bedroom tv.",

was that it wasn't meant to be a large 55" tv.

and to compare $248 to $398, that's a 60% difference in price, not the best comparison.

$248 for the OP's TV is not hot or even warm. This would be a deal like 3 years ago.

Wait till BF or boxing day. I remember picking up a 40 inch 4k Sharp a few years ago for like $300 with nox tax at RCSS.

I love the Sharp Aquos line, I think they stopped making them, but always loved the colours.

Why do little TVs like this still have those useless, crappy little feet?

This is not a huge living room/family room model that requires wall mounting, and will usually go on shelves, desks or dressers, all of which will either be too small or incredibly dangerous with these tipping disasters.
My last and final digital game I purchased at PSN from those Sony Devils was on November 22, 2020 - Ban that Sorny!

Since this TV is only 40", 1080p and 4k would likely not look too different unless you were sitting very close. Resolution mostly matters as your screen gets larger or your viewing distance gets closer.

RFD = 40in deal is bad because you can buy 55~60 for just little more.

My 1k sqf tiny condo master bed room, with windows and doors etc etc.. there is only wall space for 48in or under.
Condos nowadays are so tiny, after putting queen bed, there barely any space left, TV stand is no go, and TV has to wall mounted.
I dont care how cheap 55in 60in is, It's not going on my bedroom wall.

typical RFD, i dont' need it, there for it's a bad deal.

I don't see it on Costco's site. Have a link?

If my parents sleep over and ask to watch CNN in 4k in the guest bedroom.. i'll book them a room at the Ritz downtown.
TV is good enough for a spare/guest/2nd bedroom.

Cheers, KH

And +1 to the OP for contributing to the site

If you want a smaller TV, that's fine, but this is too much money for a 1080p 40 inch panel.

$150 would be a deal. I'm quite sure that similar TV panels will be sub $200 for Black Friday.
