Not as powerful as an 80V but the price is very good considering the original price is $450.

Edit: Not sure why others are seeing $298, but here's a screenshot:

Bought mine for ~$300 four years ago. Using it 8 to10 times per winter. Battery still going strong. A decent machine if you keep in mind a single stage won't blow the heavy wet snow.

I'd trade it all for a little more.

Seeing $298 as well.

Already have corded version, also from Snow Joe, for 6 years. May be use for 2/3 times per winter. Is it worth it to go cordless?

For 2-3 times per winter and the corded works for you? Probably not.

The cordless is nice though.

We bought a Snow Joe around this time last year when it went on sale. Broke down after two uses and had to return it.

Snow Joe products are absolute junk - lasts 2-3 times and its straight to the trash. I think they have a QA problem.

Reviews seem to align with 'junk'

No cable hanging for cordless, nice!!!

Keep using corded one for now, hoping I can put away cable, that is it for this winter? Smiling Face With Halo

I got a cordless one on clearance at HD last year, forget how much it was, but had to buy the battery and charger on top of that.

It does a pretty good job, but the snow has to be less than ~4" for it to work properly. If it's too wet or deep, the machine will cut out because it gets jammed. Gets very annoying to try to shovel and then it cuts out every 10 seconds. I usually give up and go back to a manual shovel. It's great when the conditions are aligned to what it can handle... but when it's a lot of snow and you really want to use a machine instead of your back, it doesn't work well.

Anyone use one of these for an outdoor rink? I figure for a flat surface it would be okay and easy?

For two years now I lug my Ariens over the boards and into the rink. This year I fell with the snow blower near the edge and it tore my liner. I'm just thinking a cordless or even corded blower would do a good enough job

If you already have a corded one, only you can decide if it's worth it. Personally I have a corded snow blower and I hate it, the cord is a huge obstacle because of how you have to use a snow blower due to the fact that it's throwing the snow.

My corded lawnmower is no problem, not even remotely an issue, but a cordless (electric or gas) snow blower is 100% the way to go IMO.

How big is your rink? If you're looking for something just for the rink and it isn't too big, I'd consider one of their electric snow shovels. The corded model is down to $69 in some stores. Might go down even further if you want to gamble - some stores had it at $40 last June.
