[Walmart] SnowJoe at Walmart Reg 198.00 scans at 138.00

I was looking for a snow thrower and went online at Walmart they have the model I wanted but showed no stock. So I went to Stouffville Walmart and they Had 5 but the Tag says 198.00 so I asked the lady and she scanned it at 138.00 at the price it showed online. So if anyone looking for a Machine this maybe a good deal.

It was all that I used last year (in the snow belt area off Lake Huron so typically dealing with more snow than is seen in the GTA). I handled all that Mother Nature could throw at it with the exception of the hard ice blocks that get piled at the end of the laneway from the snowplow (typically 3+ feet high). Very easy to maneuver and can be picked up with one hand. Takes a bit of getting used to the cord but once you figure out a pattern that works to keep it out of the way it is a great little machine - especially for the $75 I paid for it (was an old RFD thread where WM brought it back in stock for winter but left the online price as the summer clearance price in error).
I still have and use my dual stage gas blower to use for the street plow stuff but this machine is so much easier to handle and much quicker that it is my go to.

Scanned your UPC with MyWalmart app and it shows $138 at stores in Ottawa, stock appears limited though but the app is not usually accurate re. stock

Got the last one in the West end Ottawa Walmart (Fernbank). It scanned as $138+tax.

Tried it out and it did a good job considering its day two after it snowed a good amount.

You have to use some force and move it back and forth if the snow is too compact. Overall not bad. Just make sure to use it the same day it snows.

Since it's electric you can make it stand upright if you have limited room in your garage. *Don't do this with gas powered snow blowers*

Have been using an electric one from Sears for 10 years, it's great and plastic augur has held up. Bought this Snow Joe from Walmart a few months ago on clearance from 198 discounted multiple times to $40. (Sorry realized no time machine.) Haven't tried it yet but should be fine given it's similar spec to the Sears'.

Wow, I should have waited, bought the same one from The Shopping Channel 6 months ago for $230? Great deal for this price imo.

I cleared the driveway no problem yesterday evening in Ottawa, it clears the snow pretty fast, only thing is that your forearms get a bit tired from pushing while holding down the lever but a little bit of exercise won't kill us.

When I had an Ariens snow blower, I'd be complacent and sometimes letting the snow really pile up before taking action so psychologically having something like this would make you clean your driveway immediately after a snowfall. That's my intention anyway.

Online shows the same price: $138

Any opinion on the Latch to keep it running? It looks a little awkward..

You can get an extra 10off if you price match with home depot as they sell for $241. I would go with the 623e more power, more and better blades and a light it's 229 (299) at home depot for price match

I can't agree more. It is awesome! Again no time machine but I bought it for $118 on amazon in February 2016.

I would easily pay the $229 for it, it is that good. The PM at Home Depot for $206 is not that bad.

Pricematch/Beat with Lowes for more discount:

$168 @ Lowes
https://www.lowes.ca/snow-blowers/snow- ... m=snow-joe

Match = $138
10% Beat = $138 - $13.80 = $124.20

To be eligible for the 10% beat, you MUST do the price matching before you pay. If you try to correct afterwards, they'll usually just match the price without the 10%.

FYI I just tried to PM with Lowes but they denied because the $138 price is only for Prime members.
