[Walmart] Tilda Rice - 10lb - $10.94/bag

For those who enjoy this brand of rice this is the best price i've seen in quite a while.
Many stores have stock, though stocktrack no longer has numbers to work with thanks to Wallyworld

In fact in Rand McNally they wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people

I thought that was until march 3. What's the coupon that is working today as well?

Got similar price at Superstore a week ago. Tilda has had a TV ad campaign running for the last month, temporary price reduction no doubt part of their plan.

Have been using the Walmart GV basmati but it’s about $4 for 900g (2 lb) which is twice as expensive.

Grabbed a couple of bags from Vaughan Supercenter. Strangely the price tag is not anywhere to be seen. Had to do a barcode check to verify price. Around 5-6 bags remain there.
Do you need it or do you want it?

There are several types of rice. Basmati is one of the higher grades, as it sits well with the more special dishes cooked in South Asian cuisine which is why you find it more commonly available.

Cheaper ones that you'd purchase would have shorter grains and a more gummy feel when chewing.

If you're an occasional rice cooker then I would suggest continue purchasing the more premium rice brands, like the one in this thread among others.

Long grain rice is usually more pricey. Plus aged rice(1-2 years old) does not stick and comes at a premium.

Basmati rice experts, how does Tilda compare to the one on sale at Food Basics this week? (In Ontario).

What is the best brand?
