[Walmart] Various Scooter & Helmet Sets $0.02 - YMMV

Here we go again.

I think WM is putting these 2¢ items on purpose to get ride of them and pretend they weren't supposed to be for sale. They were probably headed to the landfill anyway.

On the contrary to other people’s stories of items being seized at the borders of the store, I managed to checkout 8 of these in one cart on a muted self checkout machine of course

How do you mute the Self-Serve machines?

I was in there buying 1-cent candy and it was screaming out "ONE CENT!" "ONE CENT!" five times in a row and a CSR came over to hassle me - luckily I had paid and I just walked out.

Thanks, and apparently they are having serious security issues with these self-serve "yakkety yak" machines SCREAMING out the PRICE OF EACH ITEM as thieves have jacked customers in the parking lot who bought certain items at certain prices. Sketchy guys monitoring self-serve + mugging in parking lot = problem.

I can see how the SCREAMING out of each item price could be a personal security risk, as even though the small electronics are mostly locked up, there are still a lot of expensive items just sitting on the shelves.

I don't want the self-serve machine YELLING out "THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS" any more than "ONE CENT!".

I found a $0.02 item that never showed up on stock track yesterday by going through a clearance rack of superhero shirts with the Walmart App scanner and just scanning different shirts I liked to see if they really were the price the sign said and came across one that scanned at $0.02.

Thanks OP bought 11 . Muted the volume at the self checkout. No issues.
