[Walmart] Various Switch Games for 59.97 YMMV

I'm at the Walmart Metrotown location in Burnaby and they have various NSW titles on at $59.97, including new releases like Pokemon Sword/Shield and various Mario titles which seldom go on discount.

I checked on stocktrack and it looks like it's this location only in BC. Not sure about the other provinces. Huge YMMV.

Still lots in stock. Most of the Nintendo games are $20 off.

Links Awakening and Super Mario Odyssey with a book are $59.97 as well. I think I got the last special edition though.

NSW being an acronym for the Switch makes no sense.

I thought the title was missing F for NSFW (not safe for work games at Walmart) lol ... geez why we try to make something of a new thing. OP you could have just said "Switch" games or something that everyone can relate. Anyway, thanks for the heads up OP.

I also wondered if this thread was about NSFW games and opened it just to see what sorts of adult games cost 60 bucks.

These old games should be half that price. Nintendo thinks their customers are suckers

Do people really pay $50 for games that has been $10-$20 on almost every other platform?

I was just at Walmart in Scarborough. While I didn't scan anything, all these games were showing regular price.

Not sure but these games are first party Nintendo mostly so not sure how you're gonna play them in other platforms

Is a photo enough to PM elsewhere? LOL... Best Buy is just 5 minutes away and I am tempted in trying... saves me a trip to Walmart in Metrotown.

According to Stocktrack, the Burnaby store is the only one I see so far with the discount. Trying other random canadian cities on a random switch game and I don't see the deal at all. Might have been some new employee that messed up the pricing.

I think you're talking about Sniper and DOOM since those are the only games this would apply to.
Some people like it on-the-go. But the grand majority don't. It's more about putting their games on a Nintendo platform. It's the very first time they open themselves to 3rd parties that they don't control so every company hopped on the train. Nintendo environment is often a walled garden. People that buy Nintendo hardware often don't have a gaming pc. Nintendo is a legacy icon. Many people will just religiously buy the next Nintendo console out of habit and neglect other platforms. So companies want those fans too.
