[Walmart] Walmart - Braun Series 9 9293S Shaver - $199.96

Seems like a pretty good deal. Online only but free shipping.

I ordered a lower end Philips 9000 before finding this which I will be cancelling.

Has anyone figured out a solution for the crappy Braun replacement foils? The one that comes with the shaver is excellent.... But then the replacements that you order later apparently are crappy now. Braun changed the design and lots of men have been complaining about them for the past few years.

The clean and charge station for these shavers is really good, I would recommend getting one of those too or waiting for a sale that includes the shaver and the cleaning station.

Wasn't this for 160 at Amazon a week or so ago?

I wouldn't. The clean stations are a money pit and not necessary . There are dark times ahead. Save any money you can.

What? This is the first time I've heard this. I have a 7+ year old Braun 7 series shaver and I've gone through two replacement foils. I didn't notice any difference from the original that came with the shaver.

I will chime in with the obligatory 'if you want to save money and get a better shave, look into wet shaving'. I used to use these (top of the line 7-series at the time), but I found the maintenance to be annoying/expensive and the shave just wasn't as good as what I had used to that point (Gillette Fusion). I then switched to traditional wet shaving and haven't looked back since - very cost-effective and a far superior shave (not to mention, environmentally-friendly). Pro tip: the prep is just as important as the actual shave technique. A lot of people think you can't shave quickly with a manual razor and that it's time-consuming, when in fact you can, once you get the technique down.

Also, for wet shaving look at cryogenically-processed blades. They keep an edge significantly longer, and even the most expensive packs are cheaper than replacement blades for any “traditional” store-bought razors

Same price online at Costco, BUT you get a free second shaver called "Pocket Go" as well. Plus the 2 year warranty + return policy

https://www.costco.ca/braun-series-9-92 ... 89771.html

Also, if you are planning on getting a clean n charge station, models with a "S" at the end stands for solo, and will NOT be compatible with one even if you buy one specifically for a 9 series. Stupid, I know

Is it cheaper at Costco Warehouses? I could swear I've seen these in stores before but couldn't find it when I went today.

I have never gone out of my way to write a review about something but trust me when I say that this thing is a huge piece of crap.

Walmart has the same price with the clean and charger station back in BF19 and I bought The station is not really necessary if you can just wash the shaver with water imo.

they had the 8 series on sale last week or week before at the warehouse (+ online).

I'm still using my old Braun 7570 that still works great after 18+ years. It was the very first one with clean and charge and battery surprisingly hasn't degraded yet

Whatever works for you, but I like that the cleaning solution is alcohol based and supposedly also lubricates the blades. The inside of the shaving head looks like it would be hard to rinse all of the hair out of the small areas, and the station dries the razor after cleaning too.

Me too! I get about 3 weeks on a charge, but I'm not a hairy beast. Looking at a Panasonic next.

I have this shaver and stopped using it. The fouls are garbage. The shaver itself now needs to be banged occasionally to get it to work. The cleaning solution costs too much. The shave was fine but not fantastic. I regret this purchase very much.
