I can't find anything for V30 or s8+ (most walmarts dont sell those) and s8 is 390 on tab medium + $150 GC

EDIT: S8+ is $520 tab medium w/ $150

The A5 deal is a lot less than other weekends. I got a $400 GC in June and it was $350 multiple times.

crap i forgot to change SE lol
it's actually 375 on medium
WOW has it for $0 on a small though so Walmart should PM that if it hasnt already been dropped to small (with lower gc)

You get the gift card as long as you port the number from Public to Koodo in store.
There will be a $30 activation fee but there's a credit for it after 2-3 bill cycles.

I don't see why not.
You'll just be on the hook for the $30 activation fee at the store but you'll have the phone & plan in hand this weekend instead of waiting a couple of weeks.
With the GC you're getting you'll end up getting a better deal doing in store than online.
