Is this any good? Can it be used as mulching? Side discharge seems screwed on.

Don't know man. But I have a yard works mower, and the motor is first pull start. I've never done any maintenance on it. Never change the oil, or use up the fuel before storing for winter, and it still fires right up. Honestly pretty surprised, considering it doesn't have a honda engine.

Just bought one that was posted here a while ago , 21", for 150$. My plan exactly like yours...
Will see how long it will last.
First start, was a charm and it was a first pull. I was surprised ,lol.

My dad bought a gas mower from garage sale, a craftsman for $10. It worked on one pull as well, as oppose to a snow blower. I think it had to do with the ambient temperature. Gas motor starts easier when the temperature is warm as fuel vaporize easier

Quite surprised by the yard work. Only thing I do is clean the air filter XD. But hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Sounds like a steal man. Probably. Don't have the brain power to dig in on why mines just keeps on working, but hey if it does what it's suppose to, why touch it?

How long have you owned it?

Anyone have idea of parts availability for this mower (basic stuff like air filter etc)

EDIT: Nvm it's a MTD mower so parts are widely available for it.

I've had it since 2013. Ofc, it may not be the exact same mower, but it is from the same company

What the heck! I picked up one from Oakville north location. There was one more left even though Custom Service said 3 more. I have a Honda engine powered gas mower on strike. I figure the repair cost would be more than $89. Honestly, I already decided to buy a cordless lawn mower. Gas mower or snow blower are such a pain for not starting every couple of years. This clearance price is just hard to resist even if it is a basic machine. Hopefully, it will be as good as @JonathanSun 's. Thanks, OP.

If you’re looking for these in Winnipeg you’re probably out of luck. Both Taylor and McPhillips show they have stock but I went to both and there are none.
