So many recent free photo deals that i think they just want to keep people coming back.
Perhaps the cutting price matching didn't work out so well for them?
In fact in Rand McNally they wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people

I'm assuming that you meant 11"x14" prints?
Still waiting for that also... maybe they'll be ready at the same time as these 5"x7"s Face With Tears Of Joy.
I can't afford to save that much!

Funny enough my 11x14 was shipped instead of pick up in store... although I think it was printed elsewhere and got shipped to where I will be picking it up

I think that when you request an in-store pickup it means just that. Some items might be prepared at the store lab but other items are prepared elsewhere and then shipped to the store lab location for pickup.

Sometimes, ship to home may be available ($) but not for these promotional offers (I think?).

Yeah that was my guess. Thought it's weird to think that can't be a cost effective solution

Real Canadian superstore all the way now. And I think they just want to show people how they print grainy, poor quality photos. Printed 90 on their 4x6 promo and they’re fine for giving away but for keeping I still order from Blacks.ca - night and day. Too bad they closed all their stores but they ship from Montreal I recall and it works out about the same at 10c a print when they have a promo (which they have quite often and now until Dec14) and $3 shipping

I also noticed the not great print quality but assumed that was normal (i am all digital for decades). If i do actually need printed photos someday i will bear what you have said in mind.
I only got the 3 fridge magnets from Walmart, i have ignored all these other promos because being all digital i didn't need them, even the fridge magnets were simply for fun.

There was a promo about 2-3 years ago from Fido where they shipped you 5~ free fridge magnets, which were amazing quality. With plastic hard wrap around them. Can’t remember the name though. But ya, Walmart’s in-store printers are quite poor quality - last time they had the 4x6 promo I also printed a bunch but at various locations (this time just 1 Face With Tears Of Joy) and some locations were marginally better. But they were grainy. No reason for that with modern digital cameras on phones. And at 25 cents a piece hahah but then again, Walmart (and Costco) don’t always have the lowest prices for everything. Gotta know your prices and shop around, which is easy these days.

Its hard to beat free from Walmart but i have not needed printed photos for so long that have no idea who makes good quality and who doesn't
So if i understand you Walmart and Costco are not good and RCSS and Blacks are?

I'm just thankful we're still able to pick up photos even with the various lock downs in Ontario.

No, I went a bit off topic. I was referring to prices in general at Walmart and Costco not always being great for everyday items. Photo quality at blacks is probably the best I’ve seen. I also hear Costco has good prints but I prefer blacks, they have an easy to use interface and their ‘imagine enhance tool’ which you can apply to all photos makes them look better.
