Definitely a good laptop, I bought the i7 version of this for both me and my sister last year. Its great for school/work cause its not only light in terms of weight but also extremely fast!

I bought the i7 version as well. Great build quality. Still an excellent laptop for work/school.

Processor is pretty weak, userbenchmarks is showing it is 10% faster than my processor from 3 years ago. I think you can find a better deal with an AMD processor.

IdeaPad Flex 5 14 could offer better value pair with Ryzen 4700u and integrated Radeon Graphics (YMMV if you need that much power) as price will probably go down for boxing day like it did for black Friday. About $773 after Rakuten (9%)

*Both laptops do not have RAM upgradability

Warm-ish. As another user said, you can do better with a Ryzen 4700 or even 4500 processor. Big downside to the Lenovos at this price range (both the Yoga 740 and Flex 15) is the soldered-on RAM at only 8 GB. Neither typically comes with a pen unless it is a special bundle. Asus Vivobook flex 14 with the Ryzen 4700 is apparently ram and hd upgradeable and comes with a pen in the box for similar prices and sales as the two Lenovos I mentioned.

Good price OP. The HP Envy 15 at Costco over August was better in my opinion, but given the time of the year, this is a good deal!

better ryzen 7 4700u, bigger 15.6 screen, twice ssd, costco 2 years warranty
which I feel is worth it
