[Walmart] Weider 200 Lb. Dumbbell Set with Rack for $388 with $39 Shipping

Was able to pick this 200 lbs dumbbell set for $388 with $39 shipping cost for total after tax of $482.51. Good buy for someone who is looking to buy some light weight dumbbells. Heavier dumbbells can be bought separately elsewhere.

200lb........ delivery guy will love it.
I wonder what they do for town house delivery , which need to take a stairs to reach the front door.

Bright side of RFD: Often find good deal
Dark side of RFD: Tons of stuff that I don't need but still got them because of RFD

New to trying to get healthy and I want to buy a cheap set to use for home. Is this a decent brand? It seems like a decent deal seeing as you are getting a rack too right?

Subtotal: $388.00
Walmart shipping: 75.00
5% GST: 23.15
7% PST: 32.41
Estimated total: $518.56 **

Edit: Added in pricings at checkout.*

It's probably delivered on a pallet (not regular type delivery, hence extra delivery surcharge). Those usually are left on the driveway or they ask you to be home

These only go up to 30lbs.. I'd pony up a bit more when powerblocks are available. They at least go up to 50lbs and are super fast to switch weights.

Powerblocks is great for if one person but my wife will be using it too. Plus, don't have worry about parts breaking down which I heard about these adjustable dumbbells.

Is this a good deal for a dumbbell set with a rack? How much are they normally?

This looks decent, but I haven't looked into pricing anywhere yet.

My wife and I want to set up a small home gym. 30 lb is sufficient for her, but I'd be looking for up to 60 lb. This might be a good start.

The rack itself is like ~$125. So it’s basically $1.50 per pound if include shipping, and it’s rubber. So it’s very decent.

Anyone know if Rakuten applies to fitness equipment at Walmart? Only 1%, but that’s enough to cover the cost of shipping for me.

I bought something similar several years ago at Costco. It came in 3 boxes. One for the rack, 2 boxes for the dumbbells . No time machine, but it was clearance item at $200 with change.

Are you both planning to use them at the same time, i.e. doing the same exercises together? That would certainly be a case for getting individual weights.

As for breaking down, that's really more to do with the Bowflex. I haven't heard of similar issues with Powerblock.

Was looking at Nuo Flexbell and Powerblock but figured it makes sense buying individual dumbbells so my wife can use it as well at the same time. Otherwise would have got the adjustable dumbbells.

Bah, I just want the 25s and the 30s. So hard to find :(

Edit* Spoke with a friend who has those selecttech weights at work and absolutely HATES them, so I pulled the trigger on this after all. GF is excited. Thanks OP.

So these came within 2 days. Freight shipping obviously.

The weights are oily and off-gas like crazy. I didn't do enough research, clearly. If you live in a small apartment, the smell will probably be quickly overwhelming.

Good workout running the 200lb from inside to the balcony and vice versa though haha

The instructions don't say much, but for the stand you'll need a 17mm socket. I don't really recommend doing it without a ratchet but it can be done, it's just a hassle.

Try fitnessavenue,ca
Only problem is they don’t do pickups and shipping is about $100.

They won't. Not enough margin.
