[Walmart] YMMV? 6 pack SpongeTowels $0.14 total (from $7.97+tax) - incl pm & coupon & co51

So, at Walmart it was showing regular price $7.97+tax.
Metro has it for $3.66 (flyer claims their regular price is $8.99+tax).
There's a $1 coupon at smartsource (or alternative).
Then Checkout51 has $3 back on any SpongeTowels, valid only if purchased at Walmart. Not sure if that's available for everyone, or if it's personalized.

So:
1. Go to Walmart, find 6 pack SpongeTowels $7.97.
2. Price match from metro for $3.66.
3. Use $1 coupon to bring it to $2.66+tax = $3.14 (Ontario)
4. CO51 claim $3.
Total = $0.14 all-in.

Note: as mentioned by spyhero, Walmart might not accept pm from metro for 3.66. in that case you can match with freshco for 4.99.
Metro pm worked for me though.
Flyer does say "selected varieties".

Ya that's the only bad part. Can only claim once.

Correct me if im wrong but didnt co51 awhile back says claims will be invalid if a coupon was used on receipt?

A solid deal even w/o coupon. As long as co51 comes through

I never heard about that. True it would suck for this deal.
But I got the $3 from CO51 no problem (see attached screenshot in OP).

Good stuff man.

I guess ive kind of read it wrong as it states in their #6 faq
You can earn Checkout 51 Cash Back in combination with any other coupon or discount unless otherwise stated. Tap into the offer to see any conditions.

People make sure to read the offer before buying things with coupon because i remember seeing the offer i wanted to use and it says claim will be invalid if coupon was used

You got lucky with the price match because the cashier didn't notice that the Metro deal is for the "Econo" version of sponge towels and the Walmart one you are getting is the "Ultra". Valu-mart has the Ultra version for $5.99, so you can still get a good deal, just not that hot.

Good point.
I didn't even notice that.

Though, by experience (of course it depends on specific cashier) normally Walmart aren't so stickly about price match, coupons, etc.
Superstore too. No frills normally more strict.

The ad says “selected varieties, 6 rolls”.

That's call REDflag Dealer. Good finding !!!

Freshco is the best bet since Metro is showing SpongeTowels Econ for $3.66, but SpongeTowels Ultra for $9.99.

https://www.metro.ca/en/search?filter=s ... eText=true

OP might want to update his first post and advise people to use Freshco flyer to do price match, not Metro.
