I think it depends... I have the 6 quart and I use it to cook meals for 4-5 all the time. Instant Pot themselves even recommend it for 3-6 people. The 3 quart is definitely too small. Even if you're cooking for 1-2, the size makes it hard to cook some recipes.

lol
seriously, the 8qt gives you a lot more flexibility if you are cooking for 4+ (e.g. if you have guests, etc) or want to cook larger batches to freeze or eat over several meals

Oh, I do agree. We have the 8qt for 3 of us and rarely cook a single meal in it. It's also worth noting that the element in the 8qt is also bigger so it is quite bit faster at heating up an equivalent volume.

Sell it and buy this one! That's what I did and I've gotten a ton of use out of the air fryer and dehydrate modes.

got it on Monday there. Didn't have time to post it so glad you did. I've been using Duo 8 quart for few years. Bought a duo plus 8 qt on sale but it's still unboxed. Bought a 3 qt for one of my daughters. Great meals. I guess I'll have two 8qt for sale :). Really strange with different pricing, all the other stores around here are $199.

I drove from Windsor to grab it. Was the only one on the shelf when I got there... it was a lot larger and heavier than I anticipated.

Looks like they’ve sold 19 of their 30 they had.
