Dual band, AC3600 = AC1200 x3 but for $50 it's worth a punt

Yah I picked it up for my parents who have weak signals around certain parts of the house.

$50+$5 for the 3 year extended warranty.

Put one on hold, I know free motto is but now think later, but is this worth the hassle of buying?

Which section did you find it in? My local Walmart says its in stock for $50 but can't find it in the electronics department.

I purchased this mesh WiFi at my local Walmart store to hopefully add coverage in my house, which is 3600sq feet

Was located in the electronics department in a closed cabinet. Staff member had to unlock the cabinet.

Mine had these up for Clearance a few weeks ago as well.
Just FYI for some: may be in box as noted, locked away, OR -- my Walmart has finally started a dedicated electronics Clearance section.... And we're an old school (non supercenter) Walmart. Depends on your store manager I guess. .

I had this Velop thing before moving to Omada... worst mesh ever. I got 1 unit replaced, I had to reset the router every 2 weeks, signal was weak, unreliable. Even at 50 dollars is not worth it.

I bought one a couple weeks ago for $99 and after reading the user reviews on different sites, I returned it .....I had 2nd thoughts today with the $50 price but , once again I re-read the reviews and decide even at $50 it is not worth it,

I installed them at my parents last night, took about 30 minutes after updates.

So far I’m really impressed, i think firmware updates have improved it greatly since it’s initial release.

I’ll give an update in a few weeks but so far I’m very happy with the results for $50

Just bought the duo pack yesterday. Mathematically it has a better value than the tri-pack, also 2 is enough coverage if you live in a 2 story condo or 1 level apartment. For a house, I'd say that buying 2 duo packs (4 nodes) that could cover the whole house from the garage to the attic for $60 great too, but who wants to revel in WiFi 5 (and DUAL BAND), when you have an AX router and most of the devices you have are WiFi 6 capable.

Try wifi test thru google, I find it’s over clocked through their own apps

For example my current mesh network says 500mb but when I do it thru google (I.e. fast.com) I get 60mbs.

A fair test would be to use speedtest.net like they do in the app. Speedtest tenda to be fast because internet companies cache it. But he's testing the wifi, not the modem. Even 1gbps internet is likely to be the bottleneck. Need to do a local LAN test.

If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
