[Walmart] YMMV - Price Error? Rain X Weatherbeater Wiper Blades - All Sizes

Just went into Walmart in Milton and grabbed a few Rainx Weatherbeaters for 13.97 each. Not sure if this is only at that location but it's worth a look.

Given the weather, hopefully some find this post useful.

Considering these are all-season they don't look like a price-error at all. It looks like it's regular price.

I miss the days when wiper blades were sold in pairs.

Just as a FYI for those who don't know, I found out recently that you can actually replace the rubber pieces on your OEM windshield wipers for pretty cheap. Cool eh?

They're not even single beam style wipers. They're the old fashioned traditional wipers.

Haha hope. Unfortunately I've replaced my wipers with crappy 3rd party ones a long time ago. I was told it would be cheaper to go the OEM route though.

Almost every car nowadays has different sized driver and passenger blades, so the number of combinations wouldn't make it feasible.

Just check at your dealership for wiper refills.
2022/3: BOC raised 10 times and MCAP raised its prime next day.
2017,2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime next day each time.
2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited to drop its prime to include all 3 drops.

Plus it's not rocket science to use the book or computer they have in every single isle that sells wiper blades.

Many new models nowadays use different size of wipers, therefore kind of pointless selling them by the pair.

Depending on your car, you can go to the parts department of your local dealership and get replacement wiper blade inserts (rubber part only). Typically they are around $8-10. Not sure how many manufactures has it, but I know most Japanese makes has replaceable blade rubbers

My Forrester has rubber inserts. I just replaced driver side last week. $16 after tax. Pricey. But it works like new

Why not buy a new unit for cheaper? Are you using a preferred bracket?

I'm not sure if I understand this. I know these exist but they're not feasible in the least. A new blade at Costco is like 11$ the replacement rubber is like 13 from the dealer.

Buying new OEM units are very expensive. Simply replacing the rubber will make them like new. Even if I went aftermarket, I've personally found them to be never as good as OEM
