Decent offer but if you are booking hotel only at WDW you should never book it direct. You usually will find a travel site that offers the discounted Disney price plus allows you to add on a promo code.

And beyond that there are Disney certified travel agents who sell rooms at select resorts and dates for less than the Disney offer. Magical Vacations Travel had an offer like that for January.

Oh and just to break it down, their other current offer, Play Stay Dine is roughly no discount on park tickets, 55% off dining plan and 5 to 15% off room. So best for larger parties.

The wife and I did the free dining and then paid to upgrade it to the deluxe dining plan (big mistake). We went mid-January, and booked it on black friday here (one of the travel agencies at the mall was able to beat the online price by $200).

We have been to disney several (6 or 7) times in the last few years, but had never used the dining plan. The Deluxe plan is *waaaaaaaaaaaaay* too much food. We even booked almost all signature restaurants that used double the points per meal so we were really only eating two meals a day (plus the 2 snacks).

The deluxe also gave an appetizer, entree and desert for each sit down meal.

You are still paying for gratuities and alcohol separately. When I worked it out after, for the two of us the Tables in Wonderland discount worked out better for us in the end.

Yeah, the Deluxe Dining Plan is way way way too much food! 2 table services meal per day is too much, for us at least...

Tried the Dining Plan this year. Not a fan. Would rather have appetizers included than a dessert with everything.
