these latest 3rd gen ones are true 'walled gardens' where you can't do anything outside of apple's dictates (i.e. send them your paycheck), which is why they're always on sale. the 2rd gen atv is a hot seller, fetching prices of $250-$300 online because it can be jb'd.

Sold my jb 2 for ~$320 maybe a year ago. Xbmc was laggy on it.
I think I jb'd about 10-15 of them back in the day for family/friends.

Been out of the game for a while. I do know there is no jb on the horizon for 3.

How's the Plex hack on it? Is it a set and leave it? Smooth?

I also want to know how Plex runs on it. This would be the only reason to get one as the 3rd gen will NEVER be jailbroken.
