This model goes on sale frequently for $299.00 at multiple retailers, so I consider that to be its true price point. It has been discounted further by $50.

You can stack the Costco $40 (Groupon) or $50 (Gift of Membership) credit to reduce it further (just need to add $1.00 to the cart).

Canadian tire also has the sale, may be able to stack the 20x/30x on it tomorrow (8% or 12% off). Or any personal offers you have.

No - as far as I'm aware, this does not have the electrical connection to support a powerhead/electro brush. In general, I believe Miele vacs are like that - if there is no powerhead included then more than likely, you won't be able to buy one after the fact, as there will be no electrical connection to support it.

This is correct. The vacuum body and wand both do not have the required electrical connections for a powered carpet brush. There is an air driven brush - the STB305-3 but I doubt it compares to the motor driven power heads.

I've used these air driven powerheads for years: https://www.amazon.ca/Cen-Tec-Systems-V ... 325&sr=8-4 As long as you have sufficient suction (12a), they work very well.
