[Blacks] Warm? Olympus e-620 DSLR $650 at Black's.

Hi all. I am getting interested in this camera and was wondering if this is a warm/hot price - since Black's says it's $799.99-150 = $649.99.

And if there's anyone price-watching this product, mind telling me what's the best price of this camera so far?

Thanks in advance!

I wonder if FS can PM this since theirs is still at $799.99....

UPDATE on 2010/02/27
Just looking at dell and they have the two lenses kit (14-42 & 40-150mm) for $700 with extra battery and case. This should be a hot deal!

Great body for macro photography! Best price I've seen in Canada.

This is probably the best current price for the camera. It was $629.99 when I bought it last July (from Vistek).

I switched from olympus to canon because at the time I could buy a t1i for less than this camera. Haven't regretted it in the least.

Still, this and all the other oly DSLRs are solid cameras that take great pictures, and the olympus consumer glass is far superior to the canon consumer glass.

I bought the E-420 from FS for $360 at the F&F sale

I know the 620 is a better model, Image stabilization and what not, but its not worth double the price IMO since I am still a novice and probably wouldn't notice much difference.

Actually I also forgot about when it was $609.95 at The Camera Store (geez, I even posted about it!):

Not to hijack the thread, but on another note, The Camera Store has sadly decided not to carry Olympus products anymore:

It's too bad, because they had pretty decent prices, free shipping, and since they're based in Calgary, they didn't charge any PST.

in body stabilization, decent megapixel count, kit glass has decent close focusing distance.

From what I heard, their telephoto lens (70-300) can take pretty good macro photos as well. And Olympus also have a good macro lens (35mm f3.5) at a pretty affordable price ~$250...

ohh, i've always wanted in body stabilization. but I went with nikon cus there were lots of users for it.

I would choose something else next time though.

Hi all, before I pull the trigger on this deal from Dell, I have a couple of noob questions to ask fellow RFDers.

1. What kind of warranty does Dell provide for the cameras?
2. After adding the product into the shopping cart, the shipping is $0. Is it because it's free shipping? Or will I be charged when the product arrives at home?

Thank you in advance... :)

I placed my order on it! :)

My reasoning? The best price on that 40-150 lens was ~$100, and the extra battery and mini backpack cost ~$80 altogether. Giving the single lens kit at ~$520. I don't think there will be another price like it, at least not for another year or so...so I am happy now at the thought of owning my first DSLR!

Thanks for the update.
The only thing holding me up is the so so low light auto-focus performance.
I currently have the E-410 and would appreciate the in-body stabilisation.

If you have american friend, I have seen E3 for $899. As far as low light go, E620 is as good as any dslr in the same price range.

Hmmmmmm... Focus maybe, but performance I don't think so.
