Waterfront Lot and DIY cottage

Looking for anyone who may have purchased waterfront land recently and built their own cottage? Looking in the Kawarthas.

What is your question? Do your standard DD on the property and the lake itself, was up there on the weekend, some lakes at all time lows. Now is a good time to see how the shoreline is affected.

Otherwise standard stuff, is the property subject to shore road allowances? Usually, 66’ feet? Zoning bylaws need to be checked to find out about setbacks, lot coverage and enlargements? Riparian Zones, WETT, Utilities, etc.

This is where working with a local realtor who knows the area and relevant regulations well would be of benefit to you
