Websites with JS Modal Popups....

I'm getting tired at looking at those modal popups on, what seems to be, every website. You know, the ones that popup within the page fading the background and asking for your email and you have to click outside the DIV or select the close link just to continue reading the content. This is called a Javascript modal popup -- content that is embedded in the DOM as opposed to a typical new tab popup.

I need to study these more so i can compose a proper solution. From what i can see ABP and NoScript are useless at stopping them (correct me if i'm wrong). Now that i'm looking for these offending sites i cant seem to find these popups.

Can you provide me some direct URLs which contain JS modal popups.
