Wendy's Summer Berry Chicken Salad

So the other night, it was really late and most restaurants were closed. I decided to just buy something from Wendy's since it was close by. I have never had a salad at a fast-food restaurant in my life. I decided to give the Summer Berry Chicken Salad a try since I saw the ad on TV. I have to admit, it tastes much better than I had anticipated. Anyone else here tried it yet? Opinions?

It's great, but I still miss the days of the self serve salad bar.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Yes. They also had an AYCE Super Bar at one point too:

It was an 80's thing. Lots of restaurants had salad bars. They seemed to die out in the 90's (except for dedicated buffet places).

It was a late 90's thing too. A postal outlet converted to a Wendy's had the salad bar.
Also a location that used to be in Scarborough (before it moved and merged with Tim Horton's) had one.
I used to visit the Wendy's salad bar in Scarborough a lot. They included chocolate pudding as a dessert.
One person working there said "go ahead! use the pudding as a topping for the salad! We won't judge..." lol
I miss those days. I wish the AYCE salad bar (or super bar) could come back!

I had no idea this even existed. I don't remember seeing them in Vancouver in the late 80s and 90s.

I agree! Even the full size is a bit on the small size, but I don't have a lot of options in Vancouver at 2 AM in the morning. Pre-COVID, there were restaurants that open really late. It was either Wendy's or McDonald's for me and I wasn't going to drive to downtown to find something else.

Came across this post when I parked outside of a Wendy's and ordered an entree avocado salad with $2 off; it was a fulfilling meal :)
