Will it still be this expensive or will people still have to get the test even by then?

Just curious out of my ignorance as I have not travelled anywhere for over 4 years almost now. Does it cost $200 for the covid test because it’s deemed “pleasure” travel and not essential?

Yes being fully vaccinated means you don't have to quarantine but you still need a negative covid test going back and forth

Good price, but that is because of less people are traveling and they want to fill out the plane when taking off.

PCR test does not cost $200 in America lol. It's free here and it's free there.

Went to Cancun few weeks ago and it was $120 USD at the resort, came right to our room and did it. Results were emailed within 24 hours.

Basic fare, redeye return. No thanks

Econo with an afternoon return flight is over $500, not anywhere near a deal IMO.

And beware that they may actually pull the flight if there is not enough people on it.

Travelling until end of 2023 is about making sure everything you pay for is refundable. 1 small change and you could be out of a chunk of change.

Yes. But also don't expect the same worry free travel of pre-COVID era. Even if I don't care, the governments are putting up road blocks and hassles left right and center.
