[WestJet] *One day only* WestJet - 15-20% off Econo and Base fares

I received a code this morning for 20% off of Econo and Base fares with WestJet. I am not sure, but the code might be restricted to my account, or may be one time use only. In any case, here it is:

5C0Y3OX

Restrictions are as follows:

Book by: October 31, 2018 (9:59 p.m. MT)
Destinations: Canada, U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe
Travel period: October 31, 2018 - April 30, 2019

Blackout dates:
Nov. 8-10, 12
Dec. 19-24, 26-31
Jan. 1-6
Feb. 14-16, 18
Mar. 8-9, 11, 14-18, 21-25, 28-31
Apr. 18-20, 22

If the code supplied doesn't work, you have two options. One, grab a new account yourself and you might get a code. Otherwise, they are having another separate promotion running concurrently with the one I received:

Safe travels!

A somewhat unrelated q, if you were to book an all-inclusive trip and it uses westjet vacations, would it be cheaper with the package or can you actually save more by booking flights separate using promo codes such as the above?

can this be applied to all-inclusive vacation packages that westjet flies to?

Anyone know if WJ offers a partial refund when fares decrease shortly after purchase? Thanks!

Thanks for your time OP.

Discount on 'base' fare.

A $550 to Europe composes of ~$50 base fare, ~$300 ATC, and ~$200 taxes. A bare $10 discount is not a discount. I experienced it before.

You're correct, the website does state that.

What's odd though is that I priced out a flight, March 28 - April 7, both without the coupon code and with it.
Without: 752.98
With: 614.56

I guess YMMV? I didn't actually go through with it as I apparently you can't use the companion voucher with a code. Still cheaper for me at least paying non-discounted price with a companion voucher.
