Tried to apply code during a search, says "Your coupon code QQSLBWM wasn't applied". Nothing else. It is for a flight from YHZ to Dublin. According to the info it's operated by WestJet.

When looking at the FAQ it says it only applies to Econo fares. But when looking at the details of said flight there are caution icons next to the Econo flight selection that says

"Econo (Lowest)
Lowest fare with restrictions
Econo (Lowest) fares cannot be combined with any other fare."

I'm simply confused.

Edit: I should also clarify it isn't during a blackout date (July 30th).

Trying to book Toronto to Moncton but can't see any 22% off discount at checkout. The dates are not within the black out period.

The discount may already be applied. In the booking summary you should see a “Coupon code (savings)” line.
It also looks like this only applies to standard Econo fares, not the Econo (Lowest) ones.

Just booked Maui for September ... $715 for two of us all in; added on the emergency row for both legs of the trip for the extra leg room and first boarding .. $875 total. Can’t go wrong.

I did chose the standard Economic but on a $400 return flight the discount was $20 which doesn't seem correct. Left a call back request for WestJet to figure this out.

I believe if it’s within 24 hours of booking you can call, cancel with no penalty, and rebook using the sale code

I believe because the date doesn't fall between the travel date. Notice that from Jul 13 until Aug 19 is not included. -> Travel: March 19 - July 12 and August 20 - October 27, 2018

I believe the 22% off is on the base fare. Your base fare is $45-ish dollars and taxes and fees make up the rest. It's always a killer, but it's better than nothing .

You have 24 hours to cancel your booking without penalty. You could just cancel last nights booking and rebook at the new price, assuming it is cheaper.

Yes, this is the case. It's doable, but it can be a slow process. Last time I had to call in to cancel the flight and had the money refunded to a travel credit. I rebooked online using my CC, the agent changed my payment method to travel credit and then had to make all the modifications I had to my Itinerary. You can have the money refunded to your CC in this case since you're within the 24 hour window.

It must be, because the itinerary i'm looking at in September (outside the blackout date) has no additional discount applied.

If you have the app, and a West Jet account, you can simply log into your account on the app, cancel with no fee and the monies will then go into your travel bank.. in this case the He/she could use the 22% off link that posted here, re book their flight, and when it comes time to pay they can log in and use the monies in the travel bank.. should take all of 5 min. Much easier then an hour plus on hold and with an agent.
