Also for your question, I'm not sure. For travel bank, it is considered that you spent the dollar and received a new dollar upon refund. Thus, the expiry date rest.

For WestJet dollar, you'll have to call or write a message on Facebook (they answered 5 days after when it used to be the same day). There is no way to tell if it is the same structure as a travel bank.
im not the poster, but we have 2600 in westjet dollars, all from the world elite credit card. it adds up over the year(s). we put everything we can on the card, even auto and home insurance now. my wife expenses alot of social club things at work, a chirstmas party for example could easily be 15k or more.

YMMV, but sometimes the refund of WSDs can take a while - they allegedly have to be processed manually. I have had some that have been delayed 30-45 days over the past few months. Prior to that, it used to be fairly rapid.

I would really wish that Air Canada would price match this since I still have credit to use. But $122 to Vancouver in August from Calgary is almost unheard of as this is normally a $350 or $400 flight. Cheaper than gas for sure even with 2 people.

Thanks OP. Was able to book 20 tickets to Calgary, after seat selection fee and other stuff, came about $450 per person for a multi city trip in summer. Not too bad.

$45-65$ for Victoria to Edmonton and vice versa. Pretty ridiculous considering driving you are in for twice that just for the ferry ⛴️, yet alone time and fuel driving.

Thanks OP.

Good luck. We went the weekend of Dec 10th last year and it was insanely crowded. Hopefully your experience turns out better than ours was~

Cool. Hopefully I can find something to rent in town. I usually fly into Gander and never had issues with rentals from there.

Yes, it’s on their website. Check out the policy that applies if you book by Mar 21.

FYI, if you are using Westjet dollars, you can only use it against the base fare. For example, for a family of 5, the total cost is just under $510 but the max WJ dollars you can redeem against it is only $185.

There are. Turo is one of the most common.

Beware, your credit card CDW/LDW will usually not apply.

Emerald Club Executive® status is yours with 12 paid rentals or 40 paid rental days in a calendar year.
Actually you need Executive Elite status for the 24 hour advance reservation guarantee.
24 rentals or 85 rental days.

But, National does do status matches to a variety of other programs.

My first time using Turo was during family day long weekend. Great experience!

I just came back from 3 days in Banff from the WestJet sale in early February ($118 return from YYZ).

You've gotta go to Banff area for at least a day if you haven't been. It's amazing!

I booked one for Calgary/Banff in September. Hope it goes smoothly.
