Wet circular saw for paver cutting

Anyone has experience buying handeld *wet* circular saw and can recommend any stores and models?

From what I can see there are barely any models available such as DEWALT DWC860W or RYOBI TC400.

Looking for DIY purposes, to cut dozen or so pavers.

There are numerous option to rent or buy dry circular saws - am I overthinking it, or there are better options available to avoid blowing paver dust everywhere and inhaling it?

Anything will get the job done.

How thick are the pavers?

I did it many moons ago with a normal circ saw, I just ran a garden hose over the paver while cutting it.

You may burn through a diamond blade, but its cheaper than buying or renting anything more than a normal circ saw.

+1

Exactly what I've done. And I was cutting through 4" thick pavers. I used an old circ saw that I didn't care about (Yup, it gets messy).
I always upvote respectful/helpful posts wherever I encounter them.

For a dozen only I wouldn’t worry about dust too much, but wear a good mask for sure

I used an angle grinder with diamond blade when installing some pavers

I just used a regular circular saw with a blade for cutting concrete. Makes a lot of dust so wear a mask.

Planning to cut 60mm pavers for patio.

Good points about investing in a good diamond blade and protection gear like mask/glasses/gloves.

Funny enough I believe you can borrow a circular saw from some libraries in GTA, even thought I would not mind buying one outright for future projects.

Running garden hose over it is certainly an option. Any other possible suggestions how to minimize the dust flying everywhere? Anyone tried to put a tarp or plastic around it perhaps while cutting?

If you didn't already bring the pavers home buy from a place that offers cutting service. For example Antz's in Durham Region has a huge assortment of pavers and will cut to size for a fee-they do charge contractors a lot less than general public though-both for pavers and cuts.
My son has a big Hilti concrete saw but will often just order pavers cut to size if its a straight pathway on side of a house for example that needs 1 1/2 pavers width.

Do check if the large paver distributors have sizes that don't require cutting.....maybe 2 pavers 18" wide if you need 36" instead of buying 24" paver slabs and cutting them.

Also you could rent a guillotine from HD before to cut pavers. No dust but not so clean cut.

They also have it in Whitchurch-Stouffville Farmer Jack's at ~$5/cut, bit of a hit and miss - last time I did it got a feeling they want to get rid of that service.

I get what you are saying, in my case there few corners that require adjustments with the pavers I chose.

I rented one from HD and it worked fairly well if you were cutting pavers in half. It Won’t cut off small pieces. You need to set the blade so it is parallel with the bottom one and the force is even across the paver.
