What is the best card for flights?

Suppose a family of 4. Every year 1 long haul flight plus 1 or 2 short/med haul flights for the whole family. I know some people flight more frequently with some more premium options/cards which would be out of my reach.

I used to do every flights related with the CapitalOne Aspire WE with 2%, now its gone and I am looking for better options. I searched up the threads and couldn't find any results.

Doesnt have to be on just on rewards of purchase, maybe combining the redeeming as well. What kinda strategies with your cards would maximize the returns? Thanks.

If the family generally flies with a specific airline, I would recommend that credit card. For example, I generally fly with Westjet so I got the Westjet World Elite Mastercard which entitles me to the companion ticket once per year where the companion pays a reduced fare for the ticket and one free checked in bag for everyone on my reservation. Annual fee for this card is ~$120. Income requirements are $80k and I believe the household income is ~$180k

Check the 3rd sticky on this forum "What's the best card for...(List of credit card lists)". Choose between travel and cashback. If you're used to using just a single card like the Cap1, 1.5% cash/rewards is best you can do. If you surf the Cap1 thread, you know what cards are recommended as replacement. Otherwise, you can pick and choose cards but there are way too many for general question as yours so do the research on the sticky. And if you just want simple answer go with Rogers WE (cashback 1.5) or HSBC WE (3% travel rewards, 1.5% all) and less work to review all cards at once. Best solution is a mixture of cards.
