What is the best time to move on?

Say you are an analyst at a commercial bank, how long in the role would be the best time to move on? 2-3 years?

Yes, when you're bored and you're not getting anything more out of it than a pay cheque, move on.

Except, if you're perfectly happy to work for your weekends, then stay indefinitely.
