What can I do about my car door paint?

Hi all,

The previous owner mentioned to me that the car door was hit previously in a parking lot, fixed and repainted.

I polished the door last year and it was clear and shiny again like the rest of the car. After polishing I used paste wax hoping it would stay shiny. During the fall/ winter I noticed it started getting cloudy again. Photos attached.

Anyway I can permanently keep my paint shiny?

Its hard to tell from the photo but that looks like its salt/dirt. Have you given it a proper car wash by hand using proper car products?

Permanently? Don't drive your car and keep it in a garage under a cover.

It looks like your car is dirty. Wash your car. Wax it again.

The clear coat might had not done in the same finish. Oh well.

Looks like the car just needs a wash.

If after washing it and it still isnt relatively shiny, looks like its simply a bad paint job. Wax etc will provide a temporary fix (if nething). Might require a repaint if it bothers u that much

Looks like oxidation or salt. After polishing and wax, apply a good sealant.

Just looked up paint oxidation on google, you seem to be correct! Thanks

I used to like keeping my car nice and clean and polished.
Then I started working full time, got married, have kids. My car gets beat up by door dings at GO station parking, I don't even bother anymore
