what can I get if I want to sell my ipad first gen 16gb?

Have several tablets so looking to unload my first generation ipad online. the question is, how much should I ask for it since it is slow by today's standards. if the amount is too low i should just give it to a family member. it's a 16gb wifi only version. thanks

I'd say you'd be lucky to get $100 for it, but the prices seem weirdly variable so I have no idea what it's actually worth.

For most people it would probably be unusably slow, so even at low prices you might have difficulty finding a buyer.

Ugh. More like $50. It is fine for old games/apps and games/apps that are for version iOS 5.1.1 and under. The thing is totally useless as a web browser since it only 256mb memory and totally useless for youtube since it is no longer being supported. You are better off just keeping it or give it to a young member of the family for games/apps. And yes I do own one and my $100 HP Touchpad blow it out of the water.

It's an iPad. Most people that want an iPad have ZERO clue about different models and specs. They only care about that it's an iPad, seriously.

Put it up for $300.

I'd say around $120 will be what you get.
Depend on what you are using it for. Anyone who is paying $120 for a first generation ipad don't really have a clue what they are getting into. If people who will majorly be using it for heavy web surfing(enjoy the slow page loading, the constant crashing and tabs refreshing with the 256mb ram) and youtube(no longer being supported so enjoy the terrible m.youtube.com on a brower). This wouldn't even worth $25. You are better off getting a superior android product for around $120-150. But this might be worth the $100 IF you just use it for apps/games that are still being supported by iOS 5.1.1 and under but games and apps are slowly being push to iOS 6 and up.

I just sold my 3rd generation (The New iPad) for $150

The first generation didn't do face time and it is slow. If you get $50, take it and run

I'm all for loving an ecosystem but seriously?
Anyone want to sell me an iPad 1 for $50 so I can sell it to this guy for $120?

Better yet.

BRB posting ads for 1st generation iPads for $200 to see if I can fish some suckers.

Probably $80 if you're lucky.

By the way, instead of asking us why not just search the site you plan to put it up on and check what it typically sells for? That's what 99.9% of the rest of us do.

Hang onto it until it becomes a relic.
When given enough time, all threads on RFD can and will go off on a tangent.

sold it on kijiji and they seem to sell if they are under a 100 or close to it.
